Sam Schulman snarks the literary community for not having high enough standards in its denunciations of Bush--"such indulgence in smug assumptions, such languid trading in crude stereotypes and awful clichés." ( Wall Street Journal.)
Methinks he's really annoyed that writers won't remain silent when asked whether or not they support Bush. Or has Schulman at some point bemoaned Bush's style of language as not being worthy of the office?
